Kiddy Cook

Kiddy Cook has been offering an after school cooking club to the students of Forest School for almost 9 years. Each week we’ll help the children to create easy-to-make recipes and as some of these will need to be cooked at home we’ll give you a wipe down recipe card so you’ll know exactly what to do!

If you are interested in your child attending Kiddy Cook in the new year we are now able to take online bookings. Please be advised that classes will be limited to 14 children per session and places will be given on a first come first served basis.

The cost of the club includes the cost of the ingredients, packaging and weekly wipe down recipe card.

For more information or questions about ingredients and recipes please call Nikki Geddes on 07976 619 648 or email hale@kiddycook.co.uk

All bookings and payments may now be made online so please visit https://kiddy-cook-hale.bookings.class4kids.co.uk/ and complete the information in order to confirm your place. If you prefer, you can pay by cash or cheque (made payable to Kiddy Cook). LAMDA

The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA) is one of the oldest drama schools in the United Kingdom.

Since the 1880s LAMDA has offered speech examinations to the public. These examinations have been refined and developed and now not only can the children take exams in Poetry and Prose but also acting and Musical Theatre. In addition to being the UK’s largest statutory speech and drama awarding body, LAMDA examinations have a reputation for excellence across the globe.

The examinations help children of all ages and aspirations to:

  • Unlock the imagination and creative-thinking
  • Develop communication skills
  • Build self-confidence and self-esteem
  • Receive critical appraisal and guidance for future development

Dawn Flint who conducts the lessons has a degree in Theatre and works freelance in Cheshire as a Musical Theatre and LAMDA Teacher.  These lessons offer your child the opportunity to learn and develop another valuable life skill. The sessions take place with small groups of up to six children.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to give a refund in the event of any dates clashing with school events, it is therefore the decision of parents as to whether the school or lessons take precedence.

In the spring term this will be for Year 4 children, Year 3 children will take part in the club in the summer term (when Mrs Allcock will run her club for Year 2 only).

Both clubs will focus on key topics covered in the Math’s curriculum. This is not a homework club, as it is designed to reinforce and enrich children’s understanding of Mathematics in a fun and practical manner. Children can participate on an ad-hoc basis.

Please check the dates that Maths Club takes place on the Extra-Curricular form as it is not possible to run the club every week.
