Covid-19 (Coronavirus) Update

School Closure

On Wednesday 18 March, the UK Government announced the closure of all schools due to the coronavirus pandemic. The staff at Forest Prep School have been working closely with our colleagues across the Bellevue Group of schools to proactively ensure all the virtual learning tools are in place to allow continuity of education for our pupils and all pupils across the group. The first day of virtual learning starts on Monday 23 March, and will be in place until further notice and advice from the UK Government.

The Spring Term will still end on the planned date, and we will be preparing for Summer Term to start as scheduled – virtually or physically.  

We will ensure to update our school community regularly.

UPDATE:  On 8th June we were delighted to welcome back our Pre Prep, Reception, Year 1 and Year 6 pupils. Following strict government guidelines, our school is safe yet provides a stimulating environment for all children to learn and socialise. One 17th June our Year 5 children returned to school, followed by Years 2, 3 and 4 on the week commencing 25th June. We are delighted to have all classes back in school; learning, playing, participating and enjoying everything #theforestway.

School Visits

While Forest Prep School is now open, unfortunately it will not be possible to visit us in person during the school day, however we are showing prospecive parents around the school once the children have headed off for home. Admissions is still open, and we are encouraging families who are interested in joining the school this September or later on to get in touch with our School Secretary, Mrs Birtles, on 0161 980 4075 or email office@forestschool.co.uk, or complete our website form. Our office team will follow up to provide you with all the information you need and to schedule a virtual meeting with our Head or Deputy Head .
