A Valiant Effort at ISA U9 Netball Tournament

A Valiant Effort at ISA U9 Netball Tournament

Last Friday we travelled to Alderley Edge School for Girls to take part in the annual ISA U9 Netball Tournament, competing against 12 other schools. This was the first time our group of seven pupils from Year 4 had ever played as a team. Despite being extremely new to the game, and somewhat overwhelmed with the whole tournament, they played tremendously well.

With the weather pretty dreadful at times, it was fortunate we had our new shelter to keep us dry in between games. The wet and dreary weather did not dampen the pupils' spirits as their enthusiasm shone through. At the end of the tournament, we played for the 3 / 4 playoff shield cup and valiantly won. A great day was had by all, some valuable lessons learnt, and some wonderful netball was played. Well done to all - we are very proud of you!
