Last night, Forest celebrated its annual Speech Night - an opportunity to recognise the many achievements of the year and a formal farewell to our Year 6 children.
In addition to the individual year group awards, Year 5 pupils were allocated their roles for their impending final year at Forest.
The audience, predominantly made up of our ever-supportive Forest parents, enjoyed musical entertainment: a whole school performance of ‘A Million Dreams’ from The Greatest Showman being a showstopper for the evening.
A special part of the evening was dedicated to Mrs Eley, who was presented with the Susie Kendrew Shield for her remarkable 40 years outstanding service to Forest. As Mr Booth noted in his speech, with an estimated 880 pupils taught over those years, Mrs Eley has touched the lives and hearts of so many children and we cannot thank her enough for everything she continues to do for our school.
