Here at Forest, teachers are continually searching for creative ways in which to deliver cross-curricular lessons and last week was no different. Using their newfound understanding of playscript format alongside their in-depth knowledge of The Christmas Story, Year 5 produced, directed and wrote a puppet play for the children in Year 1 and Reception. They delivered their lines clearly and the younger children were captivated by the different array of hand and finger puppets.
This activity allowed Year 5 to focus on writing for a particular audience, also allowing the younger members of the school to learn the Christmas story.
