Buddy Scheme Brings Learning and Lasting Friendship

Our popular Buddy Scheme has continued to grow this year, now all the Upper School classes are partnered with a younger class, creating meaningful friendships and valuable learning opportunities across the school. The benefits for our younger children are easy...
What a fantastic first week in Year 1!
Our Year 1 children have made an impressive start to Key Stage 1, hitting the ground running with enthusiasm, confidence and a fantastic work ethic.
The first two weeks have been packed with learning across the curriculum:
Maths: counting forwards and backwards to 20, ordering numbers and developing accuracy.
Phonics: daily phonics lessons learning and practising sounds
English: writing about ourselves using the ‘Super Duper You!’ story as our inspiration.
Geography: producing a brilliant piece of writing about our holiday news.
History: exploring our own histories, through drawing our family and creating our personal timelines.
Science: learning about our bodies, creating self-portraits and investigating our senses.
Computing: beginning to develop keyboard and computer skills.
Swimming: attended our first weekly swimming lesson with our Year 1 class.
What an incredible few weeks, and there is so much more to come!

Come along to our Outdoor Play Morning on Saturday 19th September, 10:00–11:00am!
Join us for a morning of outdoor fun and interactive activities designed for our youngest learners. Your little ones can get hands on in our mud kitchen, explore our outdoor learning area, and you can see how we bring parts of the EYFS curriculum to life in the great outdoors!
🐐 You’ll even get to meet our two pygmy goats!🐐
The morning is particularly suited to prospective families with children of Reception age and younger, and is a lovely opportunity to see our outdoor provision and meet our school community.
