Year 6 Examination Success

We are absolutely delighted to celebrate the outstanding examination success of our Year 6 pupils, the Class of 2026. Their achievements reflect not only their dedication and perseverance, but also the supportive and nurturing environment that defines life at Forest...
We have had a fantastic World Book Day. We started the day with a whole school assembly where Mr Hyde shared one of his favourite stories, Six Dinner Sid. The children loved listening to the adventures of the mischievous cat and it was a wonderful way to begin our celebrations.
After the story, it was time for our costume showcase! Class by class, every child told the school which character they had dressed up as. They all spoke with such big, confident voices, it’s hard to believe that our Nursery children are only 2 years old! We were so proud of how confidently they spoke in front of everyone.
There were so many brilliant costumes, from Harry Potter to an astronaut, Stick Man, and characters from The Famous Five. The creativity on display was amazing!
Throughout the day, the children also took part in lots of book themed activities, including making bookmarks, writing about their favourite characters, and designing their own book covers.

💜Burwardsley 2026 with Year 2! 💜
The children enjoyed a multitude of activities: visiting the roundhouse, making clay pots, becoming archaeologists, hiking up Willow Hill, and learning the famous Bumble Bee Song around the campfire.
Special memories were made throughout the trip. The children showed outstanding behaviour and wonderful teamwork.
Mr Booth, Mrs Bradley, Mrs McClearn and Mrs Wells came home very proud teachers!
