Year 1 Hit the Ground Running in their First Week of Key Stage 1

Year 1 have made a fantastic start to Key Stage 1, completing their first week with enthusiasm, determination and an impressive approach to learning. From the moment they arrived in the classroom, the children have demonstrated #theforestway of doing things....
💚 A huge thank you to everyone who helped make our Macmillan Coffee Morning such a success, a charity very close to our heart.
We were completely overwhelmed by the incredible number of families who baked cakes to support this very special cause.
Thank you to everyone who baked, bought and ate cake, bought raffle tickets, made raffle donations.
A special thank you to all the parents who gave up their time to help run the stand, and to everyone who donated wonderful raffle prizes. A particular thank you to Mrs Pickston, who generously donated our spectacular showstopper raffle prize cake. 🎂
We’d also like to say a huge thank you to our PA for pulling the whole event together and making the morning such a success.
Macmillan is a charity that is very close to our hearts, and it was incredibly special to see our school community come together to support such an important cause. A wonderful
example of our Forest family pulling together, which is what we do best.

The Annual Forest Conker Challenge
Years 3 and 4 played a traditional conker game, who can be the first to break a Conker?
The two classes gathered on the front lawn where Mr Francis shared some top tips before the battle commenced.
It was lovely seeing the children play a traditional game and a great way to keep traditions alive.
Perhaps some Foresters could have a family match at home?
