Adventure Club in the Great Outdoors

There’s been great excitement in Nursery since the arrival of our two much loved goats in September and they’ve quickly become the heart of our Outdoor Learning provision. More than just adorable additions to the school day, our goats are helping to bring learning to life in the most magical way.
Each goat has their own personality, one is curious and confident and the other one is shy and gentle. As children spend time caring for and observing them, they naturally develop empathy, learning to recognise feelings and adapt their behaviour. These real relationships help nurture kindness, patience and emotional awareness.
The goats have also brought learning to life. During our exploration of The Three Billy Goats Gruff, children didn’t just hear the story, they lived it. Walking across the bridge alongside the goats transformed a familiar tale into a real life adventure.
This Spring Term our focus is on `Natural Learning`. Children have explored:
🌿 Sounds in nature
🍂 Numbers in nature — collecting and counting leaves
🎨 Outdoor art inspired by the world around them
🏃 Movement games that celebrate nature and space
Outdoor learning offers something truly special. It allows children to:
✔ Engage all their senses
✔ Take safe risks
✔ Explore at their own pace
✔ Build resilience and confidence
✔ Strengthen friendships
Our goats are valued members of our Outdoor Learning community, helping our children learn, grow and thrive in the happiest of ways.

The Smartest Year 2 in Town!
It’s official, our Year 2 children are the smartest in town after they ALL completed Mr Booth’s annual “Tie and Top Button Challenge” this afternoon.
The children have all worked so hard to tackle the tricky task of fastening their top button and knotting their Forest tie.
The children were all incredibly proud of themselves and each other- they supported each other superbly. Mr Booth, Mrs Bradley and Mrs McClearn watched on with amazement before official certificates were given (alongside a little chocolate treat!).
We can now officially say, we have the smartest Year 2 in town!
