Last week, we welcomed some very special guests to Forest for a heartwarming Grandparents’ Tea Party. Grandparents of children in Nursery and Kindergarten were invited to spend a relaxed afternoon enjoying homemade cakes, and—most importantly—precious time with their grandchildren.
The joy on the children’s faces was clear as they proudly introduced their grandparents to their classrooms. They excitedly pointed out their artwork on the display boards, shared their favourite play areas, and took great pride in showing where they spend their days learning and exploring.
To make the occasion even more special, the children had created heartfelt gifts for their grandparents to take home and treasure. Kindergarten children made beautiful mosaic and clay hanging hearts, while Nursery children presented painted wooden heart magnets, each one featuring their tiny fingerprint—a keepsake to cherish.
In today’s busy world, where many parents are juggling work and home life, grandparents often step in to help with school runs, sleepovers, and so much more. This tea party is our way of saying thank you for their constant support, love, and presence in their grandchildren’s lives.
A huge thank you to all the grandparents who joined us and helped make the event so memorable. It was a true reflection of The Forest Way—community, joy in learning and happy school days.
