Children in Nursery, Kindergarten and Reception have been enjoying weekly football enrichment sessions, held every Wednesday, inline with one of the school’s priorities to increase sports opportunities for all year groups.
The sessions are delivered by M K Coaching, a specialist coaching provider owned and led by a player from Altrincham FC. The engaging programme introduces pupils to fundamental football skills through fun, age appropriate activities that encourage participation and teamwork.
Staff have noted how much the children look forward to the sessions each week, and how the return to the classroom energised and ready to learn.
The football enrichment sessions are having a positive impact by supporting children’s physical development, improving coordination, and helping to build important social skills such as cooperation, communication and resilience.
