Celebrating Year 3’s Incredible Journey!

What an amazing first year in Key Stage 2 for our Year 3 class! We are so proud of how much they have developed and challenged themselves throughout the year. This half term, the children have worked incredibly hard in English, developing their research and presentation skills by creating fantastic double page spreads about Sir David Attenborough, preparing them well for the exciting Wider World Projects in Year 4.

In History, Year 3 explored the story of Tutankhamun and linked this to their English learning by writing thoughtful diary entries imagining the discovery of his tomb. Their writing was full of emotion and many pupils went above and beyond the success criteria. They also showcased their creativity in poetry, adapting The Sound Collector to write imaginative poems inspired by the sounds around school.

Well done, Year 3! Mrs Eley, Mr Booth and Miss McRae are incredibly proud of your fantastic English skills, creativity, determination and the effort you have shown throughout your first year in Key Stage 2. Keep up the amazing work!
