Over the past year, we’ve invested heavily in making playtimes more exciting and active. As if our fantastic playground equipment wasn’t already enough, we’ve introduced new dedicated play zones filled with a variety of activities designed to spark imagination, encourage teamwork, and get children moving.
From traditional games to larger-than-life fun, pupils can now enjoy:

🎲 Giant counters and dice – for our human-sized snakes & crosses game
🃏 Giant playing cards – turning card games into big, bold challenges
⚽ A football pitch with nets – always very popular!
Research shows that high-quality playtimes not only improve children’s physical health, but also boost concentration, social skills, and emotional wellbeing back in the classroom (British Psychological Society, 2023). That’s why we’ve placed such a strong emphasis on making play a central part of school life.
Playtime at Forest is now a hub of creativity, energy and laughter – a chance for every child to find something they love, whether that’s sport, puzzles, or just having fun with friends.
