Year 5 Share Creativity and Community at Wyncourt Nursing Home

Year 5 pupils visited Wyncourt Nursing Home for a special art session focused on portrait drawing. Working closely with residents, the children carefully sketched their partners, taking time to observe expressions and listen to their stories. The session was filled with plenty of smiles as creativity brought generations together. The visit had a wonderfully positive impact on the residents, who clearly enjoyed the companionship and laughter our young Foresters brought to the nursing home.

Experiences like this directly support one of our key priorities this academic year which is to produce responsible citizenship in all our pupils. By building meaningful connections beyond the school gates, Year 5 demonstrated empathy, respect and a strong sense of social responsibility in action.
