Welcome to Learning Support

Meeting the individual needs of all children lies at the heart of Forest Preparatory School's mission. Through our regular ongoing assessment of each child we identify the need for additional support if necessary, in order to boost a child's skills or understanding.

Mrs Mulholland, our Learning Support Assistant, will then liaise closely with Class Teachers, to provide carefully planned and targeted support sessions on an individual or small group basis.

Mrs Mulholland works with children on a one to one basis or in small groups using a structured and multi-sensory approach to maximise their learning potential, building on strengths whilst improving weak areas in a fun and relaxed environment. Her room is bright and inviting and provides an uplifting yet quiet place to learn.

Support and communication with parents are an integral part of learning support and Mrs Mulholland has an open door policy should any parent wish to discuss any aspect of her work with their child.

The learning support room is situated next to the Year 3 Classroom.
