Following the Christmas holidays, we have been so impressed throughout the school with how the children have returned. Great progress is being made from Nursery to Year 6, as the boys and girls at Forest continue to achieve and develop as people. Our Effective Learners programme is helping to build the children's life-long learning skills, such as resilience, self-discipline, and reflection, which are becoming steadily more evident in lessons and generally around the school.
Our 'pupil voice' (the School Council) has also been busy putting forward their suggestions and, as a result, the final day of each half-term will see the introduction of a 'party' lunch! More of their ideas will no doubt become a reality over the remainder of the academic year.
We wish the Year 6 children, who are sitting their independent grammar schools examinations the best of luck and will keep you posted shortly about their many impressive successes.
