The transition from Early Years into Key Stage 1 is an exciting and important stage in a child’s education, and I take great pride in the progress our children make throughout Year 1, both pastorally and academically. Through a challenging and engaging curriculum, alongside high expectations, we encourage our five- and six-year-olds to reach their full potential. We strive to develop not only their academic skills but also their confidence, resilience and independence, ensuring that every child feels valued, supported and ready to embrace new challenges. It is incredibly rewarding to see their wonderful progress and watch them flourish throughout the year
Additional Role: Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL), including Early Years.
Additional Information: Mrs Burns teaches Year 1 from Monday to Thursday.
