Last Tuesday, Year 5 visited Sale Town hall to participate in a Citizenship Ceremony for people who have completed their rights to become a British citizen. The children performed a harvest medley to the recipients and their families to which they gained great applause.
Year 5 were also invited into the Mayor’s parlour for a question and answer session with the Mayor of Trafford and Mrs Nash OBE DL. The children learned about the Mayor’s robes and customs, and were invited to Trafford Town Hall later in the year. Mrs Nash also explained her role as a Deputy Lieutenant on behalf of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
Both Trafford staff and many visiting families commented on Years 5’s excellent performance and their outstanding behaviour. A very enjoyable morning was had by all.
