This half term, Year 1 have enjoyed finding out about Africa.
Through texts such as 'Masai and I' and 'Bringing the Rain to Kapiti Plain' they have learnt about the Masai tribe and African folk lore.
We have made African sunsets, masks and jewellery and looked at colours and patterns associated with the culture. We have also considered how different life is for children in rural Africa compared with the UK.
