Mrs Thompson’s Mindfulness

Living in a society where there are never enough hours in the day to get everything done, it can be easy to rush through life without stopping to notice much. Paying more attention to the present moment – to your own thoughts and feelings, and to the world around you – can improve your mental wellbeing. This awareness has been termed 'Mindfulness.'

A relatively new concept in schools, mindfulness has taken the teaching world by storm, as it has been proven to improve children's concentration, self-awareness and ,ultimately, their happiness.

An advocate of the benefits to children of mindfulness, Mrs Thompson taught Year 5's some basics for how to achieve a mindful state.
