Forest Remembers

As the clock struck 11:00 on 11/11/19, the Forest community stopped for two minutes of quiet to mark Armistice Day.

Earlier in the morning, the children learned about Remembrance Day with a very informative assembly by Mrs Eley. They shared poems, artefacts and explained why it is important to always remember those who were brave and also those who continue to look after us.

Different activities were taking place throughout the school: Year 4 had decorated the hall windows with images of stained glass windows, depicting the courage and bravery of those who fought in the war and Year 1 enjoyed learning and writing their own (amazing!) acrostic poems.
