One of the books Year 1 have enjoyed this half term is, ‘Jar of Happiness’ by Ailsa Burrows. The children loved reflecting on what makes them happy during our PSHE time.
After some lovely discussions, the Year 1 ‘Wall of Happiness’ was made and is now flooded with beautifully painted pictures, showcasing all the things which make our little Year 1’s happy.
It was wonderful to hear the children talk about what makes them happy – ice cream, chocolate, family and rainbows were just a few.
We are so impressed with how independent Year 1 have become. What is really clear is that what really makes all of Year 1 happy is being back together again in our classroom.
