To encourage our pupils to have a passion for and excel in spelling, we hosted a Spelling Bee 2023 competition again this year.
The children were given a list of words to learn and each year group took part in class heats. The finalists then went through to the Lower and Upper School finals which took place on 26th January 2023.
Lower School put their Monster Phonics skills into action and Mrs Bradley and Mrs Burns were amazed with their successes and wonderful spelling skills. Congratulations to the winners of the Lower School JF (Y2) and SB (Y1).
Our Upper School Spelling Bee Final had some extremely tough spellings. but our children weren’t flustered in the slightest, as their classmates cheered them on. A social mention to JC (Y3) and AF (Y5) who won this category and now go through to participate in the Bellevue Education Inter-School competition.
Congratulations to all our Foresters from Reception to Year 6 for wonderful spelling and we wish JC and AF all the best in the final stages to see who is crowned the Bellevue overall champion.
