A Snap Shot of The First Half-Term in Reception

The Reception children have been learning so much in their first half-term. They have been developing their phonics and number skills, and produced their first piece of writing which helps to build up muscles in their hands and their arms and as well as fine motor skills too. The topic they have focussed on is ‘travel and transport’. The children have learnt about different types of travel vehicles, from boats, aeroplanes, cars, lorries, buses, trams, and trains. Even the green cross code and how to be safe when travelling and crossing the road.
