We are thrilled to announce that our recent ISI Inspection confirmed “all standards are met” across all five areas, and recognised the many strengths that make Forest Prep a special place to learn and grow.
Nurturing Spaces for Growth
Our art room and music provision were highlighted for supporting pupils’ spiritual development and emotional wellbeing. Inspectors noted that these calm, nurturing spaces allow children to feel secure, relaxed, and confident in expressing themselves.
Strong Foundations from Nursery to Year 6
From 2 year old nursery children through to Year 6, Forest provides a high-quality education. Inspectors praised the progress of our youngest learners and the academic capabilities of our Year 6 pupils. As the report states:
“There is a well-embedded approach to early reading, mark making and writing skills. Children also develop early number, shape, and space skills.”
The Forest Way
One of the things that makes Forest so special is our polite, respectful, and kind pupils, known as “the Forest way.” Inspectors recognised how this initiative is woven into everyday school life:
“The ‘Forest way’, focuses on how pupils need to think carefully about how they can positively contribute to the life of the school.”
Exceptional Teaching
Our teachers are praised for their deep subject knowledge and understanding of each pupil, using creative resources and strategies to help children manage their learning effectively.
Academic Excellence and Secondary Preparation
Leaders have built a curriculum that balances academic progress with preparation for secondary school. By the end of Year 6, pupils have a strong grasp of the curriculum:
“By the end of Year 6, pupils have developed a thorough understanding of the curriculum. Many go on to achieve scholarships or places in selective senior schools through entrance examinations where a pre-requisite is high academic achievement.
We are incredibly proud of our pupils, staff, and the Forest community, whose dedication ensures that every child thrives academically, socially, and personally.
