Each year group here at Forest is unique, with varying expectations. It is for this reason that teachers being the process of transition at this stage in the year, to enable the children to settle more readily into their new class in September.

This week, Reception children have already begun their path to independence by getting their own lunches! A more independent learning environment is one of the key changes between Reception and Year 1, so this small step will stand them in good stead for next year.
