Throughout the winter half-term our Foresters have participated in three Trafford Cross Country events at John Leigh park. For the first time, children from as young as Year 1 were invited to compete in a 500m race, in addition to the Upper School races.
We had a fantastic turnout for all the races and our Foresters arrived full of energy! They showed great team spirit cheering on their peers.
We have had some brilliant results this season:
SM (Year 6) impressively received the Trafford Cross Country League, John Leigh Park Series, Silver Award for accumulating the second highest points in the Girls “A” Races.
SB (Y3) gained a BRONZE position in one of the races.
SM (Y6), LB (Y6), CT (Y5) and JF (Y4) finished in the top 10 in at least one of the races.
Congratulations to all our cross country runners for competing in the winter series and always trying their hardest to beat their own personal bests.
Well done Foresters, great self-motivation.
