As parents living in Trafford, we are all aware of the increasing competition for places at Trafford’s top grammar schools and secondary schools. Each year, we are seeing impressive results from our pupils at Forest Preparatory School.
Over the last two years, we have seen some disruption to school life and for this particular year group the important Year 5 exam preparation was partially delivered in a remote manner. Each child was very positive during this time and grabbed their opportunity to continue with their learning via our online teaching. Not only were the teachers very proud of all the children, I as Headmaster, was also delighted with the perseverance and dedication to learning showcased by all during this time.
We would now like to give our congratulations to our Year 6 2022 children and the outstanding exam results that they have achieved.
Over 81% of the children sat external examinations, with 94% passing for at least one grammar school in the area.
Altrincham Grammar School for Boys and Altrincham Grammar School for Girls, remain the most sought after destinations for our Forest leavers; with 71% of our children who sat state grammar school entrance exams passing this year. Other popular state grammar destinations are; Sale Grammar, Urmston and Stretford Grammar School, Loreto and St Ambrose, passed. The results for our children are fantastic and we are all so very proud.
At Forest, our key aim and passion is to support pupils and their families in finding the most suitable school for their secondary years. We are looking forward to our Year 6 leavers flourishing in their chosen destinations.
