As part of our special Centenary celebrations, we hosted a ‘Centenary Afternoon Tea & Alumni Tours’ on 30th April and 1st May. This wonderful occasion brought together over 40 alumni from across the decades — including one former pupil who was from the class of 1945!
The sun shone brightly as guests arrived and enjoyed a traditional Afternoon Tea in the garden in front of the Main House. The event offered a perfect opportunity for old friends to catch up, reminisce, and reconnect with the school.
The photo board displaying treasured class pictures, sports day memories, and images from the iconic Upper School end-of-year shows sparked conversation and brought a smile to many faces.
Following refreshments, our alumni were taken on guided tours of the school by our current Year 6 pupils. They explored the grounds and visited classrooms, seeing first-hand how the school has grown and evolved, but still retained many of its original features and charm, such as the beautiful Wisteria in blossom on the Main House.
Since the event, we’ve been touched by the messages of appreciation received. One alumnus shared:
“Every child we encountered looked as if he or she was really enjoying their school environment. The school exudes warmth, friendliness and happiness.”
Another commented:
“Year 6 girls are an absolute credit to you – polite, friendly and so confident.”
There was also much love for our animal residents: “The chickens, the tortoise, and Maggie the school dog – they all help to create the warm, homely feel that Forest is known for.”
It was a joy to open our doors to the extended Forest family, and reconnect with former pupils.
