At the beginning of March, Year 2, excitedly boarded a coach to head to Burwardsley, on a two day residential trip. On the way, they were treated to a stop off at the Cheshire Ice Cream Farm.
The trip involved climbing Willow Hill, den building using only what can be found in the woods, weaving fish and singing around a campfire. Year 2’s History topic on the Stone Age and Iron Age continued with a visit to the replica Iron age roundhouse, before heading out to try some old fashioned bow and arrows.
Thank you to John and the team at Burwardsley for another memorable “holiday” which was made even more exciting by the heavy snow.
