Butterfly Season

Here at Forest, we aim to encourage the process of 'active learning' as much as possible, providing children with the opportunities to learn through doing.

As an end to their previous topic on 'Lifecycles', Year 5 couldn't have chosen a more fitting day to release their butterflies.

The butterflies were reared by Y5 and they released them in the grounds after studying 'Life cycles' as part of our science topic. The children were pleased with the weather conditions as they looked at conditions ideal for butterflies to survive best.
