On Tuesday the 15th of May, our annual Sports Day took place at Timperley Athletics Track, with EYFS and KS1 events in the morning and KS2 in the afternoon.
The sun shone brightly as the children gathered for an eagerly awaited day of sporting activities. Children were in high spirits to start the carousel of activities.
Throughout the day, the children demonstrated co-ordination, skill and great teamwork to complete a variety of races: the flat race, bean bag, egg and spoon as well as the obstacle.
The temperature rose as KS2 assembled at the park. The excitement grew throughout the heats of the activities. There was great encouragement and praise from all children in their teams, as they cheered each other on.
The school values were demonstrated throughout the day as the children showed respect for each other’s abilities, with a positive attitude towards the activities and celebrating their achievements.
We would like to thank all parents and carers for taking part in the races, you were great sports and the children were very proud of your efforts.
