Year 5 Traffic Observations

As part of their Geography topic on local traffic, Year 5 carried out several observations in Timperley Village. The children looked at problems and issues that are caused by traffic in our local area. Year 5 found some interesting results and will now write up a conclusion and evaluation from their recordings.

Whilst completing the observations the children had to use previous Maths skills to log data and analyse it. Mr Booth and Mrs Johal were very impressed with the children's independence and resilience in taking ownership over their recordings. Excellent speaking and listening opportunities took place as the Year 5 children transferred previous classroom based skills into the practical learning opportunity.

Many thanks to Mrs Harrison who offered her support on a very cold and crisp January morning!
