House Meetings in Action!

From Reception, each child at Forest is put into a house: Jordan, Mimwood, Kersal or Chorlton.

Every week, the houses meet to discuss current school topics, count their house points as a collective and to vote for their 'Star of the Week'. This not only aims to give children the confidence to share their opinions in front of their peers (developing self-esteem) but promotes collaboration throughout the school – helping form bonds between children of different ages.

This special sense of community is evident around the school, notably at break times and house events, for example, Sports Day, and is what makes Forest such a unique learning environment.
