Lower School Learn to Code with BeeBots

This week, during our Lower School ICT lessons, we have been focusing on simple coding using BeeBots. As well as introducing a computer mouse, the children had the chance to practise their mouse control when using computers.

Over the last half term, the Kindergarten and Reception children have been learning about coding, which is just the way we are able to communicate with computers or technology. We have been instructing the BeeBots to move in selected directions and progressing to move the BeeBots across a treasure map or shape mat.

Moving into the summer term, children are now beginning to use the laptops to write their name using their mouse. In the first lesson, they have already shown fantastic hand-eye coordination when writing their name.
