Enjoying Mindfulness in the Great Outdoors

As many parents may be aware, last week was Mental Health Awareness Week. This year's topic was Body Image – how we think and feel about our bodies – a concept which many children (and adults) struggle with. With a great deal of media coverage on the topic recently, it seems vital that we strive to instil positive messages regarding mental well being to the upcoming generation.

Here at Forest, Mrs Thomson does a brilliant job of running a weekly Mindfulness session for all children who wish to participate. Here is what she had to say about her most recent session:

“It was lovely to enjoy the beautiful weather, hear the birdsong and feel the sunshine with an 'alfresco' mindful meditation session.”
