Independent Learning: Mini-Archeologists Dig for Facts

This half term, Year 3 welcomed Kate Spencer, a local archaeologist, to lead a workshop for the Archaeology Day.

They studied the history of writing and then became mini-archaeologists themselves. With their transition into Year 3 going smoothly, children were encouraged to learn independently and find out facts for themselves, a skill in which all teachers aim to teach their class.
