A Smooth Transition to KS2

Transition into a new year group always comes with its challenges; a new routine, new expectations, a new teacher to get used to. The transition from Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 2 is, understandably, a significant change for our children. Luckily for us, we have our very experienced Year 3 teacher, Mrs Eley who is well aware of the precise needs of all her children as they transition up. This is what Mrs Eley had to say about her current year group:

“I am extremely pleased with the way in which Year 3 has settled into life in the Upper School. Every morning they come in and organise themselves for the day ahead, like a well oiled machine. They are learning to be independent workers and think for themselves. How to make a mistake is an important lesson to learn and the class is realising that we need to learn how to fail in order to succeed.”

We are so very proud of how all of our children and classes have returned to school, after such an unusual final term last year.
