Bringing Learning to Life: The Return of the Romans

A highlight in the Year 3 calendar, it was time for the Romans to invade Forest once again.

Year 3 have been learning a great deal about the Roman way of life this half term and have been working extremely hard on perfecting their assembly to showcase their learning.

They did a superb job of performing it to the rest of the school and their parents this week and taught everyone a thing or two about the Romans!

Additionally, Year 3 enjoyed their first Roman Workshop. They learned to write a letter in Roman script, practised Roman numerals, created a clay pot and designed a mosaic tile. As Mrs Eley has had some time to perfect this aspect of the Year 3 curriculum, the learning she brought to life is certainly an experience the children will never forget.
