Shining on the Stage

At the beginning of March our Year 5 and 6 Foresters performed at the Stoller Hall in Manchester as part of the Bellevue Northern Music Festival.

The purpose of the Bellevue Northern Music Festival is to celebrate the importance of music and the sheer talent of the four northern Bellevue schools – Forest, Brabyns, Edenhurst and Forest Park. It has been running since 2016 and was initiated by our Music teacher, Ms Wellings.

Our Foresters put on a wonderful bi-annual performance, they showcased a range of songs and pieces that filled The Stoller Hall wonderfully.

All the schools also joined together to make one choir, performing 'Si Si Si', 'Sailing Away' and 'I Am a Small Part of the World'.

Ms Wellings said; ‘It was a momentous evening and our children shone both on stage and in all the rehearsals leading up to the event. It is great to have the opportunity to share the stage with the other schools and work with other pupils to make music.  A huge round of applause for our pupils – they were simply outstanding.’
