Year 6 WW1 Experience Day

On Thursday 17th November we went on a History trip to Tatton Park.  The trip was a World War 1 Experience.  When we arrived we were put into groups and rotated around four activities using genuine artefacts to find out facts.  In the afternoon, we were greeted by a man who was dressed as a World War 1 soldier.  He explained what he was wearing and all the kit a soldier would have had to carry.  As a final treat, we were then allowed to handle rifles, bayonets and grenades!  We had a fantastic day and came back to school with our own artefact box to use in our History lessons.
