Poetry Competition

This year, Forest hosted the first ‘Poetry Competition’ in a bid to encourage children to be creative with their writing; the given theme being ‘The Future’. Finalists from each class (Reception-Year 6) were chosen to compete in the final, which took place on Friday 8th March.

Our finalists performed their poems exceptionally well and impressed the judges with their confident delivery and inventive rhymes. The lower school winner was to a well-deserved EW, in Year 2 and the upper school winner was AC, in Year 4.

The audience were also treated to a poem by Pre-Prep and our head girl and boy; Ruby and Rio.
