Last week, Year 1 were lucky enough to have Mr and Mrs Bisarya visit the class to share the meaning of Diwali through stories and music. Children enjoyed a delicious array of Hindu food and were shown how to dress in a sari, beautifully modelled by Mrs Burns and Mrs Wells. Year 1 children were lucky to each receive a traditional bindi and some bangles as gifts too.
They all had a fantastic learning experience, thank you to the Bisarya family.
