Year 6: A Victorian Christmas

On Monday, Year 6 visited Dunham Masssey to enhance and consolidate their learning all about life in the Victorian Era.

They were immediately put to work, beating for His Lordship's shooting party and making lavender bags for Lord and Lady Stamford's guests at Christmas. The children learnt what it would be like to be a worker at the house and (very quickly) learnt what was expected of their manners when in the vicinity of Her Ladyship!

The children finished their trip making traditional Christmas tree baubles and baking delicious chocolate bread and ginger biscuits.
