This half term, all classes are exploring the theme of ‘Going for Goals’ as part of their PSHE topic. At Forest, children are constantly challenged in the classroom, to encourage them to meet their potential; making mistakes is the foundation for which we learn. Children are taught to view these mistakes as progress to achieving their end goal. Through seeing and understanding where they went wrong, children are increasingly able use these mistakes as instructional for future attempts. Perseverance is the key to success.
Last week, Mr Hyde spoke to the children about New Year’s Resolutions in terms of goals they are able to set for themselves and how failure will help them to push through their learning threshold to achieve their goals.
