Once again, at this year’s Harvest Festival, we were left amazed by the generosity of our Forest families. The Salvation Army will distribute the huge donation of canned and dried goods from their food bank for families referred to them by Social Services and individuals in need. A special thank you to all the families who have donated such generous parcels to our collection this year.
We are thankful to our local Tesco for delivering a huge wheatsheaf loaf in honour of our harvest celebrations.
In addition, the day saw children participating in a variety of appropriately-autumnal activities; from creating unique jewelry pieces in Reception to using what they could find on the grounds to make nature pictures in Year 3 and the competition for the most uniquely captured picture of nature in Year 4. Each class also did a fantastic job in performing a harvest song, which we thank Ms Wellings for orchestrating. Our oldest Foresters from Year 5 and 6 came together for a last minute song - ‘The Harvest Tango’, complete with a tiny bit of Strictly-esque choreography. @Artsmarkaward #theforestway
Have a look at @forestprepmusic Twitter page for some wonderful singing from across the age groups.
