Trafford Schools Sports Partnership held their Swimming Gala Final at Sale Leisure Centre recently. A total of 24 teams from 17 schools across Trafford qualified to reach the finals, all hoping to hold the winner’s trophy and go on to represent Trafford, in the Greater Manchester Winter Games in March.
Having qualified in earlier heats, the finals saw yet another triumphant day for our Yr 4/5 swim teams. After some nail-biting heats and some extremely close races, we are utterly delighted to say that our Yr 4/5 Boys team claimed victory overall and now go through to the Greater Manchester School Games.
It was also a very close final for our Yr 4/5 girls squad, who also swam extremely well and managed to secure Silver Medal position overall. The harsh reality was, that our girls missed out on the gold position by just 1 point!. Better luck next year girls.
