Parents v Pupils Football Match

Parents v Pupils Football Match

The 'Big Day' arrived for the football Match of the Year: Parents v Pupils [ and teachers!]. Both teams warmed up before the match, trying to outdo each other even before the match had started. The nerves kicked in as the players came out of the tunnel and ran onto the pitch. The whistle blew and we were off!

The Year 6's pushed the Dads to the limits and after 20 minutes came off the pitch and headed back to the changing room. After a brief team talk, the players continued the match and the Dads came back fighting! The Dads went on to score 2 epic goals. Not to be disheartened, Year 6 managed to get a free kick at the edge of the box. Hitchen was taking, and he whipped the ball in the box...but...there was a handball. PENALTY! Mitch did a quick pass and Freddie went on to score. 2-1! The the whistle blew.

As the game entered the last 5 minutes the Dads were winning 4-3. Luckily there was a penalty for the Year 6 team. Hugo took the penalty and it went straight into the top corner to make it 4-4.
The game went into the last minute and Toby managed to get the ball and put it into the net. We were the winners!!
