Each year group has its own challenges. In Year 5, one of the biggest challenges is exam preparation- physically and mentally. From the first time the children step into Year 5, Mr Booth instils into them the ‘Work Hard, Play Hard’ mantra and it is one the children take very seriously. The endless hard work the children put in is always praised and rewarded; whether it be an ad hoc game of rounders or a trip to Chester Zoo, the children are made to understand that working hard reaps rewards.
As they are nearing the end of Year 5, the children have been revisiting their learning and have recently completed a mock 11+ exam. Mr Booth and Mrs Johal are extremely pleased with the children’s efforts, well done Year 5.
