We are incredibly proud of our talented music pupils who recently took part in the Alderley Edge Festival of Music, Speech and Drama. This prestigious event, which has been running for over 100 years, provides an annual platform for performers of all ages to showcase their talents in music, drama, and public speaking. With over 2,500 children competing across various categories, our pupils truly shone.
Each of our performers displayed outstanding dedication, confidence, and professionalism—qualities that reflect the hard work they’ve put into developing their skills. We are thrilled to share that many of our children achieved fantastic results, placing 1st, 2nd or 3rd in their categories.
The categories entered include string, piano, brass, choir, and musical theatre—demonstrating the breadth and strength of music across the school. This success would not be possible without the dedication and expertise of our exceptional music staff: Mrs Shaw (brass teacher), Mrs Whittaker (singing teacher), Mrs Woodward (violin teacher), and Ms Wellings (Director of Music), who continually inspire and support our pupils.
