A Busy Term for Music

A Busy Term for Music

Another term ended at Forest Prep, signalling the start of a much needed break, but this term will be no easy jog to the finish. The summer production of 'The Rocky Monster Show' will take place, with Year 6 having found out their parts just before the holidays.

Music last term at Forest came in abundance, from the Bellevue concert at the Royal Northern to many people from the school singing and playing instruments at both the Bowdon Youth Festival and the Heaton Mersey Festival. The Bellevue concert at the RNCM was a huge sucess, with the Year 6 pupils performing a Balungang, Year 5 a choreographed rendition of 'Seize the Day', Main Choir a song called 'Sing' and the Chamber Choir the famous 'I Think It's Gonna Rain Today.'  The other Bellevue schools also performed and three songs were presented en masse to a very appreciative audience.

On World Book Day, we found out the name of the summer production, 'The Rocky Monster Show.'  Auditions were held about two weeks later, Year 6 then found out their parts in the final week before the Easter break.

Last term certainly was full of music at Forest, but we still have this term to look forward to.
